Overall mission:
Your primary objective is to manage client relations, ensure smooth operations and contribute to the growth of CatsDog Photography through lead generation, telephone-based sales and service promotion.
Person Spesifications:
- A flexible hybrid role suited to a vibrant, self-motivated people and dog person
- 30hrs a week @ £20,000 a year 8hrs Tue-Thurs 6hrs Fri (pay will start at 18k and increase to 20k after the probationary period has passed, provided targets are being met & equates to £28,000 pro rata based on a 42hr working week)
- You will work from the studio initially but have the option to work from home once training is complete and probationary period passed if appropriate
Job overview:
- A highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant is being sought to support Cat, the photographer behind CatsDog Photography. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the target number of photo sessions and design appointments are booked or exceeded, generating new leads, managing clients and their journey with CatsDog – ensuring that they feel relaxed and informed with the process and creating social media content.

Job requirements:
Organisational skills:
- Good at organising diaries to fit in with the needs of the clients and Cat’s shooting requirements/personal life
- Helping with location selection/research for photo sessions
- Knowledge of the Lancashire area is an advantage
- You will be responsible for ordering office peripherals and CatsDog branded items as required
- Manage and keep client database up to date
- When working from the studio you will ensure it is clean, tidy, warm and welcoming (housekeeping)
Communication skills:
- You will be responsible for answering the phone, composing emails and making calls to encourage bookings, managing social media enquiries and be the first point of contact for clients
- You have a friendly and engaging phone manner – you are a natural people person
- Responsible for generating quality leads
- Skilled at booking quality clients – this element of the role will involve qualifying clients that are a good fit for the business and recording the clients’ details into relevant applications
- Follow-up on client artwork and satisfaction
- Communicate with Cat regularly to assist in current business needs
Technical proficiency:
- Ability to learn and manage studio management software Tave
- Experience using WordPress or similar website management
- Update questionnaires, templates, WordPress for new campaigns
- Composing emails/email lists/Newsletters
- A good understanding of Google Maps
In-person assisting abilities:
- You may occasionally be asked to assist on a live session, which would involve holding lights, dogs on leads and sometimes helping with props such as throwing colourful scarves for the creation of portraits for Cat’s Scarf Project
- Own transport is an advantage for accessing locations
Lead management:
- You will be responsible for making sure there are enough leads coming in to hit set targets for each month
- This will exercise your ability to book, set up for and attend exhibitions at occasional events throughout the year promoting CatsDog and generating new bookings (Eg DogFest)
- You will have an innovative approach to lead generation, which will include exploring avenues such as Facebook ads and collaborating to come up with new ways to reach and connect with new clients.
Problem-solving skills:
- Ability to think on your feet and provide solutions, such as monitoring various tech and solving intermittent problems
- Liaising with external companies to problem solve technical issues
Content creation/social media management:
- You are a social media user/social media savvy
- You can keep up with current trends and create captivating Reel content using behind-the-scenes footage sent from photo sessions
- Engaging writing skills for captions/newsletters/email communication
- You will be confident in networking online in the likes of Facebook groups to connect with new audiences and create new potential clients.
Sales/Marketing:
- Create and manage lead generation platforms eg project model calls
- You will have a strong understanding of sales – creating value in CatsDog’s services and products via telephone/email communications with clients
Flexibility:
- You will be able to take on other tasks as required by Cat and the business
