At the time, Cat was working at a family portrait studio and noticed that unlike a studio environment, dogs could express themselves so much more freely outside in a natural setting.
Cat’s dog Poppy, who was 18 months old at the time – and is now the CatsDog logo and mascot – heavily influenced the start of the business venture. Cat spent a lot of time with her, from training classes to snuggling on the couch and could see that other people valued their pets just as much so she decided to give the on location dog photography idea a go.
Within3months
it already had enough interest to become a full time business. Linda, who is Cat’s Mum started to help with the bookings among other things and soon became a valuable employee.
Within15months
the business had been such a success that Cat could upgrade all her equipment and convert her garage into a home studio for clients to view their images.
9years later
There have been a lot of changes at CatsDog since its humble beginnings, we now have an established team – who you can see over at the ‘contact’ section of this site – and In January 2017 we moved from our cosy home studio to a bigger premises on Tulketh Brow, just off Lane Ends on Blackpool Road.
