Applications are open for 7 days only.
THIS IS NOT AN ORDINARY SESSION
This is something different.
If you’re anything like me, your dog is your world. They’re not just a pet they’re family 🥹. And you’re all too aware that your time with them is precious and limited. So, you want to make the most of it.
With my photography style, my aim is not only to create portraits that stop people in their tracks and go WOW, but also to document the personality of every dog who steps in front of my lens, capturing their character, and quirks that make them who they are.

THIS IS AN ADVENTURE WE SHARE TOGETHER
Turned into lasting memories that don’t fade with time.
I’m looking for dogs to take part in a series of mini behind-the-scenes documentaries showcasing what a CatsDog experience is really like – the chaos, the giggles, and everything in between.
The result is a collection of memories you can return to forever in video, in EPIC portraits, and in artwork that lives in your home.
WHO THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR
I’m looking for dog parents who would love the full client experience and the opportunity to create legacy pieces that they can hang in their home as lasting memories of exactly what their dog means to them, every moment you share, every stroke of the fur and shared glance as you gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes. All of that intangible good stuff I will translate into breathtaking portraits that you can turn into bespoke artwork to hang in your home forever. I can’t even express how important it is to do these things before your dog gets too old, too tired and the opportunity just passes you by. (I would also like to add that your dog is never too young or too old to be a part of this project but I want you to understand how important it is that you act now, whatever stage your dog is at.)
What’s the biggest thing you need to know? It is that future you needs this more than present you realises right now. Take it from somebody who has spoken to hundreds of parents who wished they had, and 100 more who are glad they did.

For Dog Parents Who Feel This Way:
They want the full client experience, not just a photoshoot that could be forgotten
They want to create lasting legacy artwork they can proudly display in their home
They want to capture the real connection they feel with their dog
They value the unique moments, expressions, and personality of their dog
They want those intangible feelings translated into beautiful, bespoke portrait artwork
They understand that time is precious and don’t want to miss the moment
They want to act now, whatever stage of life their dog is at, so they don’t look back wishing they had
WHAT THE SESSION LOOKS LIKE
Stitch’s Session: An Example Video
The video you’re about to see below is of little Stitch. He was just a couple of months old at the time of his session, a fully blown, bouncing, full-of-beans puppy.
You might be surprised how many people say to me, “I want to wait until he or she is out of their puppy stage before I capture portraits.” Which is absolutely insane to me.
Can you imagine someone saying that about their (human) child… “I’ll wait until they grow up and then I’ll get portraits taken”? It sounds laughable, right.
That’s how I feel when people delay capturing these precious puppy moments, you know, the ones that are so endearing, and the absolute foundation of who your dog is becoming. They’re fleeting.
You can see exactly why these early moments are such a special time to have photos taken in this video:

What About Other Dogs?
But that’s not to say that if your dog is already out of the puppy stage and a little older now, this opportunity isn’t for you.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
Whatever stage of life your dog is at, I would actively encourage you to get portraits now. You never know what’s around the corner, whether that’s changes in how they look, developments in their personality, or the thing we all fear and find so hard to talk about.
Hopefully, you can see in this wild puppy video of Stitch that whatever your dog’s demeanour (whether they’re a little shy or full of beans!) I can absolutely handle it and produce portraits that completely blow you away.
What About Older Dogs?
I can absolutely work with older dogs too, and in many ways, the urgency is even greater with our senior dogs for obvious reasons.
They deserve to be celebrated just as they are, right now.
I want to share a little story with you about why this matters so much:
Charlie’s Story & Artwork from 2013
I remember thinking this moment needed to be kept, and even though we had just wrapped, I reached for my camera again and photographed that moment between them. The way he looked at her it was like he was trying to say something…
"Love you Mum"
The next day, I got a text from Charlie’s mum and oh my gosh, my stomach dropped.
“Thank God we did that… because Charlie’s gone.”
He had passed away only hours after our session together.
I still get goosebumps telling that story now because it genuinely felt like he’d held on just long enough for his mum to have those portraits taken.
That moment has stayed with me throughout my entire career because it made me realise just how important photography really is. This incredible art form is a way for dog parents to hold onto the furry faces they love long after they’ve left this world.
And I’ll always be grateful for that – that she has a little piece of Charlie, frozen in time, something tangible to hold onto forever. 🥹
An important relfection:
Charlies Story
Back in 2013, when I first started out as a dog photographer, Charlie was booked in for a shoot with me. Before the session, his mum phoned me up, sounding really upset. She told me she didn’t think he was going to make it to the session date…he had problems with his liver and she knew they didn’t have long left together.
I moved things around so we could bring the session forward. We took some portraits at home, then headed down to the beach with his dogo siblings. He was so happy in this moment. Running around, exploring, enjoying the sea air, as we found photo spots along the shore.
I knew these moments were special, but I didn’t realise quite how special they were going to turn out to be.
At the end of the shoot, Charlie’s mum leant down and started kissing him on the head. I could see the emotion written all over her face. This boy meant absolutely everything to her, and I think deep down she knew their time together was running out.
"OK, I WANT IN BUT MY DOG WON’T SIT AND POSE"
Spoiler Alert! Most dogs you see in my photographs are normal family dogos. I don’t expect a dog to sit and pose, I expect them to behave like a dog.
In fact, I want them to be the most dog-like possible. The whole point of these sessions is to capture real-life moments and showcase exactly who your dog is to you, and how you see them every day.
We keep them on their lead throughout the session, and I simply remove it in post-production. They don’t need to be anything other than themselves – that’s what makes the portraits so meaningful.

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
But this adventure isn’t just about the incredible memories you’ll make during the session, or the heartwarming video you’ll have as a keepsake after, the most important aspect of it all is the physical artwork you will take away with you afterwards. Something tangible that you can hold in your hands, something permanent.

Q & A
Yup, not a single penny will be taken before your Adventure Dogs session with Cat.
We will simply take your card details to secure the time slot we choose together. This acts as a retainer only, and provided you attend your appointment, no charge will be made.
If for any reason, you cannot make the appointment and you let us know with plenty of notice, you will of course, not be charged anything.
No. Most of the dogs you see in my photographs are just your average family companion. I do not expect dogs to perform perfectly or behave like trained show dogs. In fact, I want them to be as authentically dog-like as possible.
The whole point of this project is to showcase real-life sessions and capture your dog exactly as they are and how you see them every day. Their personality, quirks and spirit are what make the photographs meaningful.
They do not need to be anything other than themselves.
All breeds, ages and personalities are welcome. Whether your dog is a total wiggle bum, a little shy, reactive, energetic or calm, they are absolutely welcome.
Your session will take place at a beautiful outdoor location. Together, we will choose somewhere breathtaking in the Lancashire area that suits your dog best and where they will feel comfortable and relaxed.
Every location has been carefully vetted, tried and tested by me to ensure it is perfect for both you and your dog.
I will be selecting up to four dogs each month throughout the summer season.
Absolutely. With over 13 years of experience working with dogs, I’ve worked with a huge range of personalities.
While many dogs enjoy a good rough and tumble, we know not every dog enjoys too much excitement or being approached up close, and we completely understand that. Cat will take each dog’s individual personality into account and adapt every session accordingly, so they feel safe, relaxed and comfortable throughout.
After your session, Cat will carefully edit and polish your photographs before presenting them to you at a virtual design appointment, which you can attend from the comfort of your own home.
During this appointment, you will be invited to watch a cinematic slideshow of your portraits live from the CatsDog studio. From there, we will design your artwork together and you can choose the pieces that speak to you most and that feel like the perfect fit for your home.
The archival quality artwork your portraits are printed on is designed to last up to 400 years under proper conditions.
This means your images will not fade or deteriorate in that time, creating a lasting legacy of your dog. It is a true archival piece, designed to preserve your memories and the bond you share for generations.
Absolutely. Payment plans are available to allow you to spread the cost of your artwork investment.
We can talk through the options together at your design appointment, so you can choose a plan that feels comfortable for you.
This is your chance to celebrate your dog in a way most people never get to
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity. This is the first time I have launched the series at this scale, and I don’t know if I’ll be doing it again.
If I do, it won’t be until at least another year, so this is your moment.
